About Me

I'm a programmer and designer who cares deeply about how games feel to play - how clearly players can read a situation, how they adapt, and how interesting decisions emerge from simple rules. I'm especially drawn to systems with strong counterplay, where no strategy stays dominant for long and players are constantly learning.

I'm also an advocate for accessibility, and designing systems from the start to allow for users who have disabilities, or are of various skill levels, to have experiences that leave lasting, positive impressions. I strongly believe that allowing players to customize how the game looks and the challenges they face allow them to interact with the systems they enjoy most.

I like to work hands-on in engine, building and tuning mechanics directly, then watching real players interact in playtests. The feedback loop of observe, adjust, and test again is my favorite part of the development, whether I'm refining readability, tightening feedback, or rebalancing systems.

My rigorous programming fundamentals let technically design, program, script, QA, and collaborate closely with programmers, artists, and other designers along the way. I enjoy turning abstract player experience goals into concrete mechanics, then shaping them through iteration in Unreal Engine and Unity.
